Thank you!

Hello to the beginning of summer and Hello to all our blog readers! This month we wanted to give a big Thank You to all of you who visit our blog, follow us here and on Twitter and maybe even leave us a comment or two. We appreciate all of you! To say thank you, we will be giving away one of these 4" x 6" images of your choice to a lucky reader. Just leave a comment below and at the end of the month, we will randomnly choose a winner. You can use the image for a thank you card or even frame it as a mini print. We left the challenge open, as far as images go, so there are looks of fun and different things to choose from.

Wishing you a wonderful June.

illustrated recipes

It's the middle of March (already!) so it's time to post about any recent project news that our group has to share.

Have you heard about They Draw and Cook? It's an incredibly awesome site run by the brother and sister design team, Nate Padavick and Salli Swindell, where artists and designers illustrate recipes and post them for downloading or you can just browse through all the fantastic recipes. There's so much more to it, but we won't go into it all here, you'll just have to go check it out for yourself!! theydrawandcook.com

They have contests every once in awhile and the current contest is put on by Kraft Foods. The challenge was to include an illustrated version of the Kraft logo and an illustrated version of one of their products, that was used in the recipe. The recipes were chosen from a list of approved Kraft recipes. Shirley and Nina both entered the contest, so we thought we would share what they did. So much fun!

March....of the Chinese Zodiac Animals!

Welcome March! We're celebrating the Year of the Dragon, 2012 by illustrating our favorite zodiac animals. The year of the dragon is said to be a very lucky year. We hope that 2012 has been good to you so far..and in celebrating the Chinese thoughts for this year, we hope that it continues to bring peace, health and prosperity to you and yours.
